Hail Raja Bahadur Maharaja of Pahad Gunj, L, M, N, O, P, Q, R, S, etc, etc.

To maintain his dignity, this Raja advertised for a personal secretary. It was sheer coincidence that the bridegroom select Captain Surendra travelled by the same train in which one of the applicants for the secretariat—post, Deepak with his friend Jaggu, travelled to Pahad Gunj. The comedy of errors played its part and the job—seeker was mistaken for the honoured guest. No time was given for explanations and an innocent person had per force to play the part of an impostor.

Deepak- a young but poor man has weak nerves due to his honesty of purpose. But he becomes a victim of the strong-minded companion—Jaggu, who told him to continue in the role assigned to him by providence. Princess Bina Kumari is unaware of the stately mistake and she offers love to Deepak in good faith. After all, it was to be an alliance between the two big families of Pahad Gunj. She garlands him, she takes him out in the garden and on riverbanks, she sings songs to him, she nurses him fondly. And gradually she develops love for this boy Deepak.

But this is not easy for Deepak. He stammers, he faints, he raves, he run! He wants to make a clean breast of it but is always suppressed by the iron will of Jaggu.

The real guest also came on the scene but he was not heeded by any body. He was jostled and pushed, he was questioned but not replied to, he was made to wait without any purpose and insulted, humiliated and hurled out. He returned home to know that there was none to sympathize with him. His father—a retired military Colonel was a man of different frame of mind. He accused his own son. He was sentenced in the military fashion.

Deepak, finding it hot to stay any longer in the Raja’s Palace, ran away to his place, but he found there that his heart had really become love-sick. Existence had become difficult for him without Bina. And where was the hope for her? She went to the town and met her girl-friend who arranged an interview of the Colonel’s son with the daughter of the illustrious Raja, through the good offices of Huzur Secretary, Mr. Jaggu!

Misunderstanding increased. Deepak was getting deeper in mud, but he was no longer afraid if Jaggu was near him and if Bina Kumari loved him. But the Colonel had strange ways. He found out the impostor and condemned him to a Court-martial!

What happened then?...... See the surprising climax on the screen! Remember; It’s Kardar’s snappy Comedy!
